The conference will bring together 1000 children and chaperones from all over the world. To be eligible for applications, delegates must be involved in environmental activities in advance. Each of the conference days is designated to a specific theme: Energy, water, biodiversity and production and consumption.

The conference program will consist of exhibitions and presentations of the children's projects, keynote addresses, workshops, fieldtrips, dialogue with adult leaders from various fields, action groups, visits to local "eco schools", and of course lots of play and fun.

Child delegates must be between 10 and 14 years in June 2007. The application form is available at UNEP's website,, and deadline is 31 October. Applicants from the Stavanger region are requested to contact Young Agenda 21 (see under the "Contact" menu), since there will be slightly different procedures for those.
