Norwegian Science Week 2009

Feeble flavonoids and potent saponins! These are among the many things you can learn more about during the Norwegian Science Week. Stavanger welcomes an abundance of scientists demonstrating their work to the public from 18 to 27 September.

What happened when the universe came to existence and how does evolution really work? Come to the Children University in Stavanger and find out! Two lectures will be held by professors of math and natural science:

Tuesday 23 September at 10.15 am - 11.15 am "The Universe - from falling apples to the Big Bang!"

Wednesday 24 September at 1.15 pm - 2.15 pm "From bacteria to homo sapiens - has the evolution come to an end?"

You can also visit two exhibitions at the University library named "Darwin" and "Hamsun" which offer mysterious stories from nature and literature.

For more information and to sign up, please send an email to post@ua21.no. Let us know how many you sign up for, which lecture(s) you want to go to, and whether you would like the librarians to show you around the exhibitions.
